Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) forms and patterns of language use, (2) information-symbolic functions, and (3) naming systems. The survey was conducted in Malang City on 32 texts of blind massage names that contained the word bersertifikat or berijazah. The linguistic landscape study was applied to see the form and pattern of language use, as well as the information-symbolic function, while corpus linguistics was applied to analyze the naming system of blind massage. The results show the involvement of four languages in the naming system, namely Indonesian, English, Japanese, and Javanese with the dominance of Indonesian in all forms (mono-bi-multilingual). English, Japanese, and Javanese are insertive (code-mixing). The survey also showed that there were 11 pieces of information displayed on names with name, certification, and contact information appearing predominantly with equal frequency. The application of corpus study resulted in two main naming system patterns, namely pijat-tuna-netra berijazah and pijat-tuna-netra-bersertifikat.
