STM Association

STM is the leading global trade association for academic and professional publishers. The STM association currently has over 170 members in more than 21 countries which each year collectively publish nearly 66% of all journal articles and tens of thousands of monographs and reference works. Atlantis Press has been a member of the STM association since the beginning of 2018 and is also a signatory of the STM association's Voluntary Principles for Article Sharing on Scholarly Collaboration Networks.

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) is a non-profit organization formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publication community and to support the professional development of its members through education, information dissemination, collaboration, networking and facilitation of new developments in the field. Atlantis Press has been a member of the SSP since April 2018.

The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) is an international membership trade body that supports and represents not-for-profit organizations and institutions that publish scholarly and professional content. ALPSP's mission is to connect, inform, develop and represent the international scholarly and professional publishing community. With nearly 300 members in 30 countries, membership also includes organizations which are involved in the production, promotion, distribution or collection of academic and professional information. Atlantis Press has been a member of ALPSP since the beginning of 2020.

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to define best practice in the ethics of scholarly publishing and to educate and support Editors, Publishers and other publishing stakeholders on all aspects of publication ethics, in particular how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. Atlantis Press follows the COPE ethical frameworks and handles all concerns and disputes related to our publications according to COPE guidelines. Our application for COPE membership has been submitted and is currently under assessment.

Crossref

Crossref is a non-profit association of about 2000 voting member publishers who represent 4300 societies and publishers, including both commercial and non-profit organizations. It was launched as a cooperative effort among publishers to enable persistent cross-publisher citation linking and is an official Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration agency of the International DOI Foundation. Atlantis Press is a member of Crossref.

Turnitin's iThenticate is the leading provider of professional plagiarism detection and prevention technology used worldwide by scholarly publishers and research institutions to ensure the originality of written work before publication. iThenticate helps Editors, Authors and Researchers to prevent misconduct by comparing manuscripts against its database of over 60 billion web pages and 155 million content items, including 49 million works from 800 scholarly publisher participants of Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate software. Atlantis Press uses iThenticate to verify the originality of all content which is considered for publication on the Atlantis Press platform.

ORCID

ORCID

ORCID is a non-profit organization helping to create a world in which all who participate in research, scholarship and innovation are uniquely identified and connected to their contributions and affiliations, across disciplines, borders and time. ORCID provides a digital name – or iD – that uniquely identifies researchers and other contributors to the research effort. By connecting this iD to different research activities and affiliations across multiple platforms, ORCID helps enable recognition, enhance the discovery process, reduce the reporting burden for researchers and lay the foundation for trust in a digital research environment. Atlantis Press is a signatory of the Requiring ORCID in Publication Workflows open letter and supports the linking of author names to their ORCID iDs during the publishing process.

Center for Open Science (COS)

Center for Open Science (COS)

The Center for Open Science (COS) is a non-profit technology organization with a mission to increase the openness, integrity and reproducibility of research. In 2015 COS launched the Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) Guidelines which contain standards in eight different areas to support the integrity of science. With almost 5,000 signatories to date, the TOP Guidelines are a widely used tool for implementing open science practices. Since June 2018, Atlantis Press is also a signatory of the TOP Guidelines which are applied to our journals.

Coalition for Responsible Sharing

Coalition for Responsible Sharing

The Coalition for Responsible Sharing is a growing coalition of publishers which was created to engage article-sharing platforms and networks that currently undertake, contribute or otherwise allow or encourage unauthorized posting of publishers' or other rights holders' copyrighted content. While being an open access publisher, Atlantis Press joined this coalition in June 2018 to create awareness of the fact that responsible sharing is also relevant for open access content in the sense that end-user license terms still need to be correctly applied.

Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB)

The Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB), which literally means 'Royal Library', is the National Library of the Netherlands which was founded in 1798. It has as its mission to provide access to the knowledge and culture of the past and present by providing high-quality services for research, study and cultural experience. Atlantis Press works with the National Library of the Netherlands for the permanent archiving of all our published content through the KB's "e-Depot" to ensure the permanent availability and preservation of the scholarly research published in our journals, proceedings and books.

Aries Systems is one of the market-leading companies in scientific publication workflow solutions which are used by academic journals, books and other publications for manuscript submission, peer review, production tracking and e-commerce. Since March 2018, Atlantis Press has adopted Aries' Editorial Manager which is the industry-leading, cloud-based manuscript submission and peer review tracking system for scholarly publications. As of October 2018, Atlantis Press also uses Aries' ProduXion Manager, a system which is used for manuscript production tracking.
