JEGH Accepted in SCIE - First Impact Factor in June 2020

The Journal of Epidemiology and Global Health (JEGH) has been accepted for inclusion in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), one of the Web of Science core collections from Clarivate Analytics. The journal is currently only included in Clarivate's Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) but has now been promoted to SCIE based on its citation performance. As a result, JEGH will be receiving its first impact factor in June of this year. In addition to this, the journal is already indexed in Scopus (with a 2018 CiteScore of 1.84), Medline and PubMed, while an application to PMC (PubMed Central) will be submitted shortly. Atlantis Press would like to congratulate all the Editors on this success which is expected to further drive submission rates to JEGH as well as increase the overall quality of these submissions.

JEGH Sees Strong Improvement in 2018 Scopus Metrics

The new 2018 Scopus metrics were released earlier this week and Atlantis Press is proud to announce that the Journal of Epidemiology and Global Health (JEGH) achieved a 2018 CiteScore of 1.84. This result is a 56% increase compared to last year's 2017 CiteScore of 1.18 and means that JEGH now ranks as the 59th journal in Epidemiology (up from 64th) worldwide. JEGH also saw a strong increase to its 2018 SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) to 1.178 (up from 0.646) and 2018 SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) to 0.725 (up from 0.566). Atlantis Press would like to thank the Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Ziad A. Memish, but also all Associate Editors and Editorial Board Members, as well as the Managing Editor Ban Al-Kurdi, for their excellent work and continuous commitment.

New Online Submission System for JEGH Now Live

As of today, the new online submission system for the Journal of Epidemiology and Global Health (JEGH) is live and open for submissions. JEGH was acquired by Atlantis Press from the Saudi Ministry of Health at the end of November 2018 and transferred from Elsevier who had published the journal since its launch. The journal aims to impact global epidemiology and international health with articles focused on innovative scholarship and strategies to advance global health policy. During a short interim period it was only possible to submit articles to JEGH via email, but from this moment onwards new submissions can only proceed through the Editorial Manager online submission and peer review system. Atlantis Press Acquires JEGH from Saudi Ministry of Health

Atlantis Press today concluded the acquisition of the Journal of Epidemiology and Global Health (JEGH) from the Saudi Ministry of Health. JEGH was founded by the Saudi Ministry of Health in 2011 and has been published by Elsevier since its launch. The journal will now transfer from Elsevier to Atlantis Press effective immediately. JEGH will remain a fully open access journal which is scheduled to appear quarterly. All remaining 2018 issues will be published under Atlantis Press and the online system for new submissions is expected to open shortly. The journal is currently indexed in Clarivate's Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Medline (PubMed), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Scopus with a 2017 CiteScore of 1.18.
