- Abstract
In the digital era, mobile applications serve as powerful tools to support cultural preservation and user education. iWareBatik is a mobile app developed to promote Indonesian batik through interactive and AI-based content. This study aims to evaluate the app’s user interface (UI) using Don Norman’s User-Centered Design (UCD) principles through a heuristic evaluation method. The analysis reveals strengths in navigation and layout clarity, but also identifies usability issues related to visual consistency, feedback, and affordance. The findings provide actionable recommendations for improving the UI and emphasize the role of user-centered principles in designing culturally sensitive digital interfaces.
