- Abstract
Most of the existing literature on the differences in educational attainment among sibship focuses on the influence of gender, urban and rural factors on the length of schooling, while neglecting the different influence of sibship structure on educational attainment. At the same time, under the influence of "One-Child Policy", the number of "post-80s" sibship decreased dramatically, and the influence of the number and structure of sibship on education attainment may change. This paper uses CGSS2008 data and multiple linear regression method to analyze the influence of the number and structure of sibship on the "post-80s" education. It is found that the number of sibship still has a significant impact on individual education, especially the number of younger brothers.
