Abstract

This research aims to explore 1) Investigation of the training methods and coffee-making equipment used in teaching at schools for the blind. 2) Product usage analysis of visually impaired baristas during coffee-making courses. 3)Design specific coffee making equipment for the visually impaired barista. The research methodology of this study is 1) Population and Sample to recruit volunteers to collect valid research data. 2) Semi-structured interviews to explore the needs of visually impaired baristas. 3) Non-participant observation that Observation of visually impaired baristas’ production methods and tool use. 4) System Availability Scale, to test the usability of the product. This research summarizes training methods and tool usage for visually impaired baristas, leading to the design of specialized equipment featuring magnetic feedback and a controlled structure. According to the SUS usability score, the new design has a total SUS score of 65.75, 10 points higher than the original product. The usability is 14.06 points higher than the original product. The learnability of the product is 1.25 points lower. The test results showed significant improvements in the usability of this product series. It can help visually impaired trainees better learn coffee-making skills.
