Abstract

This study attempts to develop a framework within which any country can stimulate structural transformation and diversification in the economy and ensure a sustained economic development regardless of their natural endowments. In this regard, an attempt is made to shed light on the interaction between FDI spillovers and Location specific advantages of the host country, by developing a model which illustrates how FDI spillovers influences the competitiveness of the host country. Lastly, the case of Kenya was used for empirical test.
