- With the deepening of the world economic integration, the cross-cultural communication between countries becomes more and more frequent. The development trend of globalization puts forward higher requirements for college English teaching. At the same time, the cultivation of cross-cultural translation ability has become the new focus of college English teaching. But for a long time, the college English classroom teaching focuses on students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and puts less emphasis on students' cross-cultural translation skills. This paper mainly introduces the present situation of college English translation teaching, points out the existing problems and proposes corresponding solution and strategies.
