- Abstract
The magnitude of women's role in the economy became a serious concern of the government in the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA). This study focusses on Female Labor Force Participation and Economic Development in Southeast Asia. Using panel data period 1993-2013, this study aims to prove the U-shaped Female Labor Force Participation and Economic Development. The results prove there is a U-shaped relationship between Female Labor Force Participation and Economic Development in Southeast Asia.
