- Abstract
Concerning the shortcomings of C4.5 algorithm, we put forward an improved one. This approach can improve the efficiency to generate the decision trees by reducing the computation complexity of information gain ratio. By applying the improved C4.5 decision tree algorithm to course grades analysis and course correlation analysis, we are able to provide powerful references that data mining is beneficial to improve teaching plan, which is also able to improve teaching quality.
