Abstract

Mathematical resilience refers to the ability of students to remain persistent and have high perseverance in facing challenges when learning mathematics, while mathematical problem-solving skills focus on students’ ability to solve mathematical problems correctly and systematically, based on Polya indicators. This study aims to examine the relationship between mathematical resilience and mathematical problem-solving skills in students through a literature review approach. The sources of literature used come from the Science Direct and Google Scholar platforms, with a publication time span between 2014 and 2024. After going through selection and screening, 10 relevant articles were selected for analysis. The results of the literature review show that there is a significant positive relationship between mathematical resilience and mathematical problem-solving ability. Students with a higher level of mathematical resilience show better problem-solving skills, both in terms of perseverance, creativity, and the ability to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics.
