- Abstract
Today Indonesia is facing an abundance of fake news circulating on social media. This condition is exacerbated by the lack of digital media literacy accepted by the people. The existence of Jabar Saber Hoaks serves as an excellent step to strengthen civic literacy among the citizens against fake news in social media. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The results of the study show that in strengthening civic literacy of the citizens, Jabar Saber Hoaks implement media literacy in both online and offline forms. The existence of media literacy from West Java Saber Hoaks requires that there are concrete steps from the government in fighting false news and as a Strengthening Progressive Civil Society among Southeast Asia efforts.
