A keyword to understand and cope with the industrial revolution, literacy is important to be integrated into class activities as early as possible in one’s education. New literacy concepts should be considered an integral part of humans’ development, so they will be more aware of the challenges. This paper explores the new literacy concepts to be emphasized in elementary education name technological literacy and data literacy. In this regards however, this paper also shows that ethnic culture, as a national asset, should be preserved as it can function as a counterweight to the rapid development of the modern era. The existence of the new era should not make people forget about their ethnic culture and national identity.
