- This study provides an overview of character values cultivation in French literature. It implements the meaningful character education values for students. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) approach. Data collecting techniques are observation, interviews, document review, and direct learning in class. Data analysis techniques use two approaches, namely, qualitative and quantitative approaches. According to the result of effectiveness, it is revealed that the average score of a class using improved models of 87.80, while the other model is 79.90. In brief, it is concluded that the application of character education in the France literature was able to increase the learning process and students’ learning outcomes
