Abstract

The dynamic behaviour of a road vehicle is a very important aspect of active vehicle safety. Steering Robot is applied in the test of vehicle lateral transient response and on-centre handling. Instead of manual operation, Steering Robot makes complicated steering input conduct accurately and repeatedly, which fulfill requirements of standards effectively. Application of Steering Robot, ISO 7401 and ISO 13674 are implemented to assess vehicle handling and stability without human’s interfering.
