Abstract

In this work, a modified solvothermal method has been developed to synthesize few layers of tungsten disulfide-nanosheets(WS2-NS). In order to determine the effect of reaction time on the morphology of the product in the preparation of ultrathin tungsten disulfide nanosheets, we prepared samples at different reaction times. As-prepared WS2 samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, and Raman spectrum. The results showed that the obtained WS2-NS were consisted of 1-10 atomic layers. Importantly, the effects of reaction time on the morphology formation of WS2-NS were investigated.
