Abstract

This aim for analyze influence integration of literature and culture in teacher education towards formation character and literacy students. Research This use approach quantitative with design survey. Population study is students of the PGSD study program at Manado State University who have reach eye studying literacy children and PPL. Data collection was carried out use questionnaire with Likert. Collected data Then analyzed use statistics descriptive, simple linear regression test, and Pearson correlation test with help device SPSS software. Research results show that the instruments used are very reliable with mark Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.843. Normality test Kolmogorov-Smirnov showed that the data is normally distributed (p > 0.05). The results of the linearity test prove existence significant linear relationship between variables (Sig. Linearity = 0.004) and not There is deviation from linearity (Sig. deviation from Linearity = 0.576). Pearson correlation test shows connection positive and significant between integration of literature and culture with formation character and literacy students, with coefficient correlation of 0.529 and the value significance 0.001 (p > 0.05). Based on results analysis, can concluded that there is connection positive with category significant medium​ between integration of literature and culture in learning with formation character and literacy students. Findings This confirm that the taller implementation literary and cultural values, then the better contribution too to development character and reinforcement literacy students. With Thus, the approach This worthy developed as an effective strategy in practice learning at school base.
