Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds on student learning motivation at Kali Catholic Elementary School, Pineleng District, Minahasa Regency. Learning motivation is in focus because it is an important factor in the success of the learning process, which can be influenced by various aspects, including education funding. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey research design. The population consists of all students of Kali Catholic Elementary School with a sample of 45 students in grades V and VI who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection is carried out through questionnaire instruments that have been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used the Pearson correlation test, simple linear regression, and significance test (t-test and ANOVA). The results showed that there was a significant influence between the implementation of BOS funds on student learning motivation with a correlation coefficient of 0.387 and a determination coefficient (R2) of 0.150. The aspect of the disposition of the implementer is the highest indicator in the implementation of BOS funds, while in terms of learning motivation, the indicator of the desire to succeed shows the highest value. The recommendations from this study include the need to increase the value of BOS fund allocation, further study of other factors that affect learning motivation, and increase the effectiveness of BOS fund implementation through strengthening communication, resources, disposition, and adaptive bureaucratic structure at the school level.
