In commemoration of its 49th years of existence, The Entomological Society of Indonesia (ESI) held an International Conference and the 10th Congress of the Entomological Society of Indonesia (ICCESI) on 6-9 October 2019 in Bali, Indonesia. This event is a joint effort between Entomological Society of Indonesia with IPB University, Bogor, Udayana University, Bali and the Entomological Society of Malaysia. The Conference embraced the theme of Learning from the Past Adapting for the Future: Advancements in Ethno-Entomology and Entomological Sciences for Food Security and Health. The conference highlights recent issues and challenges in tropical entomology which include the development in basic entomological research, agricultural entomology, medical entomology and ethno entomology. The wide range of topics has created a cross-discipline dialog that can be further developed for the co-creation of new knowledge in entomological science.

The Scientific Secretariat accepted 218 contributions for oral and poster presentation under various topics, of which 47 of the presentations are represented in this Proceeding.

Our special appreciation to the Governor of Bali who officially open the Conference and facilitate the Gala dinner and Atlantis Press for their support in publishing the Proceeding.
