Abstract

Aiming at the problems existing in the current alpine skiing teaching, such as limited teaching environment, single teaching method, weak safety awareness of students and strong fear of beginners, a virtual simulation teaching system of alpine skiing is developed based on VR technology. This system uses 3DS MAX software to model the three-dimensional model, unity3D to build and render the scene, and C# language to develop functional scripts. The momentum theorem is used to calculate the impact force of snowboards. This system designs the skiing scene according to the actual snow field, and enables the user to start, slide and brake the virtual skiing character model by manipulating the external handle. The experiment shows that this system has strong operability and high authenticity of virtual experience, which provides a good example for digitalization and informatization of alpine skiing teaching.
