- Abstract
In learning language the most important thing is how we can use the language through oral or speaking. This research aims to explore what strategies are used by English teachers in teaching speaking. The object of this research is what strategies are often used by English teachers at SMP Cendikia Sidoarjo. This research used qualitative research method with case study design. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews with research subjects, particularly English teachers at SMP Cendikia Sidoarjo. The observation sheets and interviews were used in this study as instruments. This research is expected to provide more information about the strategies used to prohibit English-speaking skills and can be a reference for future researchers.
