Abstract

This study reviews the research on visual and motor, visual impairment and walking in China and abroad. The effects of vision on the dynamics of gait (peak pressure distribution, impulse and plantar contact area) and kinematics (step length, step frequency and step speed) were discussed. It is hoped that it can help the visual impaired people and healthy people in the absence of visual assistance, and provide some theoretical basis for the design of walking assistive devices for the visual impaired groups .
