The 2014 2nd International Conference on Advanced ICT (Information and Communication Technology) for Education (ICAICTE 2014), which will be held on August 16-17, 2014 in Dalian, China. Dalian is the second largest city in Liaoning Province, China and the largest port in northern China as well as a major destination for Chinese tourists. Located at the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, the main part of the city is on its own sub peninsula, with the port to the north of the town Centre and natural coastline dotted with beaches to the east and south. Dalian is a trading and financial center in northeastern Asia and has gained the name the ‘Hong Kong of Northern China’.
ICAICTE 2014 focuses on using ICT in education which includes practice, technology and theory. There is a broad range of ICT that is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning. In particular, with the emergence of ICT, which evolves very quickly, so have the changes in the research of education. The use of ICT in education is becoming ever more important. ICT is the medium of young people and plays a pivotal role in their lives. ICT can significantly reinforce and deepen knowledge and understanding. Nowadays, many researchers focus on promoting, coordinating and facilitating the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance teaching and student learning.
The aim of this conference is to provide a worldwide forum, where the international participants can share their research knowledge and ideas on the recent and latest research on ICT and “Computers in Education”, and map out the directions for future researchers and collaborations. Researchers and graduate students are welcomed to participate in the conference to exchange research findings in the frontier areas of ICT and “Computers in Education”.
