Advancements in science and technology are fundamentally reshaping the way individuals interact, communicate, and conduct transactions, exerting profound influences on economic progress. In order to foster technological progress, developing nations are allocating resources toward high-quality education and continuous skills refinement. The potential for future breakthroughs in computing knows no bounds.

The 4th International Conference on Advances in Computer Engineering and Communication Systems (ICACECS 2023), meticulously organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with The University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, on 22–23 September 2023, revolves around the themes of ingenious innovations, Industry 4.0 technologies, data analytics, networks, and communication systems. This event will unveil the emerging technological trends in computer engineering and communication systems.

The capacity to apprehend and actualize one’s highest future potential, both individually and collectively, a concept termed “Presencing” which is an integral part of the fundamental philosophy at VNRVJIET. Consequently, ICACECS 2023 provides a platform for technologies with substantial societal impact, encompassing Green Computing, 5G Networks and IoT, Social Network Behaviors, Smart Energy Networks, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, Agricultural Informatics, Assistive Technologies, and Intelligent Transportation.

This publication will encompass 36 meticulously peer-reviewed contributions from ICACECS 2023, focusing on cutting-edge subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining and Big Data, Quantum Computing, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Distributed Computing, and Smart Systems. Out of a total of 221 submissions from both national and international authors, only 35 papers were selected for publication, reflecting an acceptance ratio of 16%.

We assure that we have put in every effort to ensure that the participatory experience in the conference will not feel like a compromise but will add value in its own stride and enable more people to participate. We hope that the conference shall serve its purpose for the best exposition and progress of science, engineering, technology, and society.
