- Abstract
An experimental setup for adapting the absorption mathematical model (M.I. Shilyaev) in the Venturi scrubber for finding the phase equilibrium coefficients by debugging the algorithm in absorption processes of SO2 extraction by water was developed. The elements of basic equipment were calculated: Venturi scrubber (tube) and cyclone. According to the developed technological scheme of the experimental setup, the operation principle of the applied research methodology was worked out by testing CO2 capture by water. These tests showed an adequate operation of the Venturi scrubber in the cascade of droplet separator - cyclone. An approach to adaptation of the absorption mathematical model (AMM) for the chemisorption processes is presented. The proposed algorithm for solving the inverse problem by AMM at the example of SO2 absorption by water in the model Venturi tube is numerically justified and can be used for experimental determination of the unknown phase equilibrium coefficients of the absorption process for all absorbent-absorbate pairs in the laboratory. Experiments on carbon dioxide capture showed the possibility of using the setup for adaptation of chemisorption processes.
