Abstract

Abstract. Objective: To study the protection role of the quercetin on the ischemia-reperfusion injury liver rat. Methods: The gastric gavage quercetin and as a positive control of vitamin C, 30 m in the liver door open after ligation of vascular cause liver ischemia-reperfusion injury, respectively, the determination of serum alanine transaminase (GPT), aspertate aminotransferase (GOT) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration, quercetin, liver MDA, reduced glutathione (GSH) content and xanthine oxidase (XO), glutathione peroxidase GSH-Px) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and liver total antioxidant power, reactive oxygen species (ROS) content, the DNA rupture rate. Results: the liver ischemia reperfusion GPT, GOT activity and MDA level increases, the liver XO activity and content of MDA and ROS and DNA rupture rate increased, while SOD, GSH-Px activity, GSH content and total antioxidant power. The quercetin lavage after quercetin concentration increased in the liver, serum GPT, GOT activity and reduces MDA concentration, the liver ROS content decreased, the GSH content and the total antioxidant force increases, SOD, GSH-Px activity recovered, had no significant effect on the liver that DNA is broken. The vitamin C after gastric protective is effect on ischemia-reperfusion injury of liver. Conclusion: The quercetin has obvious protective effect on the ischemia-reperfusion injury of liver rat, its mechanism and strengthens the function of liver antioxidant system.
