Proceedings of the Unhas International Conference on Social and Political Science (UICoSP 2017)
The Unhas International Conference on Social and Political Sciences (UICoSP) 2017 was held on October 18 – 19 2017, in Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia.
The UICoSP 2017 intends to bring the challenges and the issues in an open forum with the way the researchers can exchange their ideas freely to help regain the social sciences and politics into a real thought. In order to achieve this goal, UICoSP 2017 invites all scientists, researchers, practitioners and students to participate in the conference to discuss various issues in the social sciences and political issues. This conference aims to: strengthen international solidarity for enhancing social and political sciences; provide academics and field experiences inputs on best practices from ASEAN Countries, and other countries on social and political issues in the local, national, regional and international level; provide the opportunity for co-operation; exchange mobility and networking through research and development in the field of social and political sciences; promote strengthening institutions, democracy, good governance, public policy, media, sociology, international collaboration and the empowerment of community.
The Conference is organized by Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University. The Conference has received hundreds of abstracts and accepted 80 abstracts from various domestic and international institutions of which 38 full papers were accepted by our reviewers. The papers included into this collection from five countries underwent a careful peer-review by the team of experts, prior to being selected for the publication.
The Committees of UICoSP 2017 invest great efforts in reviewing the papers submitted to the Conference and in organizing the sessions to enable its participants to gain the maximum benefit.
We would like to thank the Organization Staff, members of the Committees and the Reviewers. They worked very hard in reviewing papers and making valuable suggestions for the contributors to improve their work.
