Abstract

The second volume of Xi Jinping on the Governance of the Country is a model of Chinese policy literature and an important document for understanding Chinese wisdom and Chinese position. The text contains a large number of f Chinese Four-Character Phraseologies with standardized structure and rich meaning, and how to translate them well and make Arab readers reach their meaning is a major difficulty in translation. This paper aims to take Newmark's translation theory as the basis and Chinese Four-Character Phraseologies as the object of study, and analyze it by citing typical examples, so as to prove that Newmark's translation theory has a guiding effect on the translation of four-letter words into Arabic, that is to say, on the basis of faithfulness to the original text, the original text should be translated in a way that is smoother and simpler, and in line with the common collocations and expressions in the culture of the target language.
