Sorting out clearly the current situation and challenges of ideological and political teaching in military academies is a realistic basis for better development of ideological and political courses in military academies. The paper proposes that the current military academy curriculum ideological and political problems mainly include the lack of clear teaching goals, the lack of systematic design of ideological and political elements integrated into the classroom, the incomplete integration of the teaching process and the curriculum, and the limited teaching effects of teaching methods. It faces the problems of improving the overall ideological and political quality of teachers and clear and unified thinking. Challenges such as political elements, building a case library for curriculum ideological and political teaching, and standardizing curriculum ideological and political teaching evaluation systems.
