Abstract

The United States is one of the earliest countries which have put citizenship education into effect. With decades of development, the contents of American citizenship education have been greatly extended, and a lot of socially qualified American citizens have been cultivated. IN this paper, the author is going to comprehensively analyze the main contents of the present citizenship education in the United States and the major achievements so far have been made. In general, American citizenship education is a big success and deserves other countries to learn from.
