Abstract

Dust weather refers to strong winds blew a lot of dust sand weather disasters make visibility extremely reduced, is the main meteorological disasters in arid and semi arid area.It is of great significance to study the movement paths and intensity changes of cross-border dust storms in Mongolia for the prevention and mitigation of dust storms in the two countries.This article selected 146 ground observation stations in Mongolia Plateau, and first analyzed the temporal and spatial distribution of sand-dust weather feature (sandstorm, sand and dust) in the Mongolian Plateau.The results show that: (1) The frequency of blowing occurs in arid areas such as Alashan, central and western Inner Mongolia, and the frequency of dust storms is in Mongolia. The highest value was found in the Gobi desert in the southern part of the country. (2) Sand and dust weather in Inner Mongolia and Mongolia is mainly concentrated in March-May, of which dust weather days in Inner Mongolia and Mongolia in April accounted for 28% and 24% of the total respectively. (3) In general, dust storms in Mongolia have an increasing trend. In particular, the days of dust weather at the three stations of BAITAG, HOVD, and ULIASTAI have the fastest growth rate, which increases at a rate of 1.62 d/a, 2.59 d/a, and 4.01 d/a annually. . Dust storms in Inner Mongolia have a decreasing trend, especially the dust weather days at the three stations of Usti, Yabulai, and Suijing Beach have the fastest reduction rate, decreasing by 7.08 d/a, 5.22 d/a, and 3.07 d/a. The number of dusty days in the Horqin area in Inner Mongolia has an increasing trend.
