Abstract

As a multi-ethnic country, China has a long development history and profound cultural heritage. In the process of historical precipitation and development, with social progress and scientific development, multiple cultures blends with each other. Under this background, ethnic culture continues to develop in the mutual influence and mutual integration of various art forms. In order to promote social development and progress, the inheritance of ethnic culture is necessary. As an important part of ethnic culture, music is also an indispensable spiritual nutrient for people’s life, and occupies an important position in the inheritance of ethnic culture [1]. Colleges and universities are the main venues for inheriting and developing ethnic culture, and play an irreplaceable role in inheriting and innovating ethnic culture. Therefore, colleges and universities should actively undertake the important task of inheriting and developing ethnic culture, integrate ethnic culture into music education reform and innovation, truly improve college students’ understanding of ethnic culture, and build a sound music education system while expanding and updating music education content.
