Abstract

This paper used PID, fuzzy and model predictive control methods to control the indoor air temperature and absolute humidity of an A/C system. Simulations were carried out with the three methods in Matlab and the three methods were compared in terms of static and dynamic characteristics. Results showed that, all the three can be used in A/C system control and the static errors were all acceptable. While the model predictive control showed the best control performance.
