Abstract

Transportation is the most important main means in connecting between islands and between countries and playing a role in stimulating growth of economic, trade and industrial activities in the region the. Environmental pollution is a very hot issue in particular environment originating from the construction and operation of ports. Water environmental pollution usually occurs due to activities cruise. Increased shipping activities at sea trigger increased risks marine pollution. The research will be carried out using qualitative methods descriptive. There is also a data collection method used in analyzing is a gap analysis where researchers compare actual conditions in the port with the expected conditions in accordance with the regulations applies. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion of problems, then Conclusions are drawn regarding pollution prevention in ports Ketapang Crossing. Still not in accordance with PERMENHUB No. 58 of the year 2013 so it is necessary to create tier-1 pollution control procedures, procurement of pollution control tools and materials, increasing competence port personnel, in order to fulfill the requirements for issuing the letter ratification of the fulfillment of pollution control requirements.
