Abstract

This approach deals with the Steiner point calculation implementation and its application in image processing. Based on Steiner point definition and some properties, a numerical method is proposed for calculating the Steiner point of a 2-dimensional polytope. Also analysis of computational complexity is discussed. Some experiments on randomized 2-dimensional data and 2D image processing are provided for testing the algorithm.
