Abstract

The paper overviews the major variants of the third Servant song (Isaiah 50:4-9) presented in Qumran scroll 1QIsa (Great Isaiah Scroll). The scroll is the oldest copy of the book of Isaiah dated II century BCE. The paper offers the analysis of the textual variants as a result of scribal errors and editorial activity.
