Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of urban industry and commerce, the number of freight cars is increasing, urban freight transportation has become an important part of urban transportation system. Urban truck parking policy includes time limit, pricing policy, management and enforcement of parking spaces. In this paper, a new method is developed to evaluate the impact of freight car parking policy. A parking choice simulation model is developed, and the feasibility of the model is verified by the example of Xinjiekou area in Nanjing city. It is concluded that the freight parking spaces on the road are advantageous to reduce the time of freight car parking to find a parking place, but it is not conducive to the parking of passenger cars. After all, the roadside parking space is limited in short supply.
