Abstract

Barrage can be applied to teaching audio-visual courses because of its own features and its close connectivity with network teaching. This study provides an empirical study on the effectiveness of the audio-visual curriculum in college English. The research focuses on exploring whether the use of Barrage in audio-visual class outweighs the use of traditional listening teaching model and what attitudes learners adopt toward the use of Barrage in audio-visual class. The output as follows: the barrage use in audio-visual class outweighs the use of traditional listening teaching model. It can effectively stimulate students’ interest, promote classroom interaction and facilitate teachers to monitor teaching.
