Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analysis the human factors that contribute to maintenance errors and making corrective actions to eliminate or reduce the probability of future, similar errors. With the help of the human factor theory, through deep analysis and research to maintenance-related aviation accidents and incidents caused by human error, twelve human factors could lead to maintenance errors. Through training and study, AMT (aviation maintenance technician) can understand the interaction between organizational, work group, and individual factors that may lead to errors and accidents, AMTs can learn to prevent or manage them proactively in the future. The research like this is valuable because maintenance errors have safety and economic consequences to the airline industry.
