Abstract

The university library is a supplementary educational institution for teaching and research services to fulfill the basic functions of the administration, education functions, research services and information consultation. The function expansion of the university library is the needs of its own development and the social development. We probe the necessity and feasibility of the social services offered by the local university library, analyze the measures of the local university library to serve the local economy, and propose the methods and the related issues of the socialization of the local university library.
