Abstract

This article examines a teaching pedagogy known as “Student as Producer”, as an effort to link teaching and research in university level. It delineates the experience of employing “Student as Producer” into a curriculum design in film studies as a China’s college, introduced by the author. Apart from exploring the reciprocal benefit for academic staff and undergraduate, the article also reminds the challenges when enforcing “Student as Producer” in the course delivery at a mid-size university.
