Abstract

This study aims to analyze the students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in the circle material. The method used in this study is descriptive. The technique of collecting data through a test of critical thinking skills consisting of 2 items of the essay. The research subjects were the VIII grade students’ of SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung, totaling 106 students consisting of 53 male students and 53 female students. The results showed that the percentage of male students’ critical thinking skills indicators achievement was better than the female students. The results show that there is a need for innovation that can make learning effective in facilitating the critical thinking skills of male and female students
