- Abstract
The tensile strength of a 2D woven C/SiC composite laminates notched with central hole was analyzed and calculated by finite element method. By considering the nonuniformity, material of open-hole specimen was divided into several parts with different density. Tensile properties of 2D woven C/SiC composites with different density were gained through tests and calculations. Finally, a tensile strength computing model was built by taking the nonuniformity of material into account. The calculations go along well with the testing results.
