- Abstract
Translation norm studies, as one of the components of translation studies, has been one of the heated topics among academicians. Researching into translation norm studies helps shedding light on the theoretical exploration, discipline construction, pedagogy, practice, and professional facets in translation studies as a discipline. The Chinese translation by Professor Fu Jingmin is published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. It demonstrates the endeavor made by Chinese scholars to contribute to global efforts in translation norm studies by serving as reference for Chinese scholars in translation studies. Apart from introducing the main content in the original book, the translated book provides reflection as well as discretion into translation norm studies. It is suggested that translation norm studies in the future can be promoted by achieving unanimous perception, launching chronological studies, fulfilling practical validating as well as conducting interpreting studies.
