- Abstract
The development of narratology is accompanied by a continuous deepening or supplementation of the level of research, presenting distinct phases. Through comparative argumentation, the possibility and significance of introducing narrative text analysis into the theory of “three dimentions” of Chinese grammar research is explored, and the three dimentions of syntactics, semantics and pragmatics are proposed to examine narrative text in three dimensions, and the construction and primary principle of “three dimentions” theory of narrative text analysis are re-emphasized. Finally, a new delineation of the stages in the development of narratology will be proposed based on the re-establishment of the research dimensions.
