Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2020)

It was a great pleasure to welcome all the participants from different countries to the 2nd International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2020), which was successfully held during October 23-25, 2020 in Xiamen, China. This three-day conference was organized by AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center. ICLAHD 2020 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Literature, Art and Human Development research to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Literature, Art and Human Development research and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Literature, Art and Human Development research and related areas.

The conference featured four keynotes (40 minutes each, including Q&A) and one Invited Speaker (30 minutes including Q&A). In addition, the program included one oral session and one poster session. The papers in the oral sessions were allotted 15 minutes each for presentation. Following the end of each session, the audience engaged in technical dialogues and discussed possible ways for future collaboration. A group photo was taken at the conference.

During the conference, we were greatly honor to have invited Prof. Feng WU, Journalism and New Media school, Xi’an Jiaotong University to serve as our Conference Chairmen, and four industry elites to present their insightful speeches. Our beloved chairmen, Prof. Wu Feng also as our first keynote speakers. He shared a speech on Factors Influencing Obituary Reporting Behavior During Sudden Disasters: An Empirical Study of Chinese Obituaries During the COVID-19 Epidemic. This study examines the ethical norms surrounding obituaries and explores the media’s obituary reporting behavior and the factors that influence this behavior in relation to sudden disasters. The second keynote speakers, Prof. Pearl Hong Chen, School of Literature and Journalism of Chongqing Technology and Business University. She held a speech on Unique Regions, lived Experience and Literary Representation in Non-Fiction Writing. She had outstanding research on Non-fiction writing, creation and publishing. A. Prof. Geuntae Park, Guangdong University of Technology as our third keynote speakers. He presented a speech: Museum + Architecture + Exhibition – A few things about museum architecture and architecture exhibition. This presentation explores three key words of museum, architecture, and exhibition, which are some of the most interesting and dynamic areas of art and culture in general. Prof. Steven Gauntt, Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College, as our finale keynote speakers. He made a wonderful speech: The Trivium in the Age of Twitter: Significance in an Era of Slipperiness.

We are glad to share with you that we received lots of submissions from the conference and we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. These papers feature following topics but are not limited to: Linguistics, Literature, Culture, Art, Aesthetics, Philosophy, History and Other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard.

We are really grateful to the International/ National advisory committee, keynote speakers, session chairs, organising committee members, student volunteers and administrative assistance of the management section of University, including accounts section, digital media and publication house. Also, we are thankful to all the authors for contributing a large number of papers in the conference, because of which the conference became a story of success. It was the quality of their presentations and their passion to communicate with the other participants that really make this conference series a great success.
