- Abstract
The study is based on Foucault’s concept of “body politics” proposed in “Discipline and Punish”. It conducts a close reading and comparative analysis of “The Ballad of the Sad Café” and “Lust, Caution”, examining the motives behind the behaviors of the protagonists from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the two works. Furthermore, the study explores how women’s ethical bodies resist in the context of war. It raises readers’ concerns about the issue of women’s ethical bodies in modern society.
