- Abstract
Language implies a common kind of cognitive organization as the very existence of a communicative level of structure. It reflects the value system of society indicating cultural thinking and conditions of interaction and transmission. Gender differences and discrimination consequently behave as a crucial topic in linguistics. However, gender inequalities in lexical selection and word formation lack systematic research and classification. In this paper, we aim to explore the connotation of gender issues on the lexical level to analyze the difference. We will also focus on how language prejudice affects our lives under a patriarchal society.
