Abstract

The elastic properties, including bulk modulus and Young’s modulus, for the bcc and fcc phases of Fe-base alloys have been studied at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The temperature dependence of the elastic properties of the elemental metals, i.e. Fe, Al… and .., has been modeled by using the CALPHAD approach and the first-principles calculations. Reasonable model parameters have been obtained giving a best description of most experimental data.
