- Abstract
Today’s world is a diversified one where there are frequent conflicts among different cultures and nations. There is still no effective way to solve the problem of global peaceful development. The “world viewpoint” is a very important concept in Chinese Confucianism. It emphasizes that the world should be great harmony and should belong to the people of the world, rather than to one country or one clan. The “world viewpoint” contains the important connotation of harmonious coexistence and peaceful development. Today, when the world is globalized with serious conflicts, and various media integrated and numerous news spread rapidly, the “world viewpoint” of Chinese traditional concept provides a possible solution to solve the problem of coexistence of heterogeneous cultures and to seek a path of global peaceful and harmonious development. College students, as the new youths under the influence of multi-culture and as the disseminator and promoter of future cultural development, have mastered all kinds of modern media skillfully. In this context, the education of Chinese traditional “world viewpoint” for college students to make them have a global vision is to reserve strength for the peaceful development of the world.
